Relief Project

To whom it may concern:

Hi, my name is Scott Williams and I attend the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Batavia, Ohio. I have been in contact with Bro. Frank Vaughn from Hope International Missions concerning the people of Haiti and their current situation. My wife Lynnette and I, along with Bro. Wayne & Tabby Kennedy are organizing a relief project for Haiti. Scott & Lynnette, along with Bro. Vaughn, are planning a short term mission’s trip to Haiti as a work/medical team. We will be helping do the necessary repairs on the mission house for the orphans to live in as well as helping with setting up a Refugee Camp at H.I.M’s school in Grande-Riviere with victims from the current earthquake.
Our goal is to put together 200 Disaster Relief Bags for Haiti. In order to reach this goal, we are asking for your help. We are asking you to consider donating the items or money to purchase them. We would greatly appreciate either. Attached is a list of items that we will be including in these bags. If you are interested in donating supplies, arrangements can be made to pick up the supplies you gather or they can be mailed to the address below. If you would like to donate money, you can either mail it or our blog has a donate button to send money securely through paypal.
Thank you for considering helping us with this project. Your prayers and donations will be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, you can contact Scott at 513-519-1672 or fhlhaiti@yahoo.com.

NEW UPDATE ON HAITI!

Dear Scott,

Pastor Antoine Called from Haiti!
Pastor Antoine was able to contact me from Haiti for a few minutes again and the 2nd update is:

The Trade School in completely destroyed

Pastor Osnels house is completely destroyed and they are sure that his wife Aliza and baby James and Joesmith are probably dead and they are buried in the rubble and there are no sounds left from them

Jude their little girl crawled out of the rubble and she has survived..............Pastor Osnel is okay because he was not in the house when the earthquake hit.

our School security wall is down but the school is still standing

All of the houses in the area are destroyed except the Homeless Shelter and Neply Church stayed standing and people are gathered there but it cannot hold the thousands of people who are homeless

There are still aftershocks happening too

Many people are dead in our area and injured and without food and water

We have no information on the Rum Village yet

The orphanage kids are fine but the security wall has broken down

The bank in Leogane has been completely destroyed so they have no way to get money out of the bank and that is a huge problem

I have asked them to keep me up-dated when they can get a connection again to tell me if I need to fly to Haiti and bring cash to them and supplies................

Pastor Antoine's last comment was................our area in Haiti is completely destroyed!!!

We need major prayer, a whole lot of wisdom, emergency relief funds and more prayer, prayer, prayer to know how to handle this crisis. Pastor Antoine was trying to be strong on the phone but I could tell he has no idea how to help all the thousands who are looking to him as a leader. He is completely exhausted and trying to think of the best ways we can help in the situation.

Right now the Homeless shelter is full of people who need help and they are praying for Haiti and comforting each other!!

Thank you for your continued prayers in this difficult time,

Joy Jones

Earthquake Hits Haiti!

Please come back often and look, as I will be updating this blog with any information that comes into me. We have contact with several mission works in Haiti and will be sharing news about these various missions as it comes in! It is time we all come together as a BIG family of God and really pray for the safety of Haiti. Again, I will keep this updated as often as I can. Please look below for some current updates!

NEWS REPORT ON HAITI!

This is a report that has come into me from Joy Jones with Haiti Missions. I will try my best to keep this blog updated on various missions in Haiti as new information comes into me. Please continue to pray for Haiti! I will keep you posted!

Dear Scott,

Our Villages Are Located in the Most Extreme Shake Region!

We have not been able to make contact with our people in Haiti. The phone lines and satellite lines are down and we are not sure when we will receive communication on the condition of our people.

What we do know is that our people and projects are located in the areas that were most heavily hit by the earthquake. All of the areas we work in are located near Leogane.

Because Neply is not a large city the news probably won't have any report of what has happened in this area. Therefore we must rely on the information supplied to us by staff in that area and with the phone lines currently not working we can only wait and pray that they are alright.

Please continue to pray for their safety and to let other people know that over the months to come Haiti will be in desperate need of support!

Thank-you for your prayers,

Joy Jones
